This privacy policy applies to the AmperRank service developed by Łukasz Wiśniewski (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider"), including the AmperRank mobile application (hereinafter referred to as "Application") and the website at amperrank.com (hereinafter referred to as "Website"). This service is provided "AS IS".

**Website (amperrank.com)**

The Website is a read-only public site. It does not require registration, does not collect personal data, and does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Your IP address may be transiently processed by the web server to serve pages but is not stored or logged by the Service Provider.

**What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?**

**User Provided Information and On-Device Data Storage**

All user data collected and managed by the Application is stored locally on your device using an embedded database. There is no mandatory user account, no mandatory sign-in, and the Service Provider does not store your personal data on external servers.

**Network Requests and Third-Party Services**

While using the Application, certain network requests are made to provide specific features:
- **Geocoding:** The Application uses Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) to retrieve addresses for locations. No personal data is sent beyond a search query string containing location coordinates.
- **Locale Hint:** During the first-run onboarding, the Application contacts the AmperRank backend (`api.amperrank.com`) to determine a locale hint from your IP address. The IP address is not stored or logged by the Service Provider beyond the duration of the request. This process is brief and user-dismissable.
- **Platform Backup:** Depending on your device settings, your local data may be backed up to your platform provider (e.g., iCloud or Android Auto Backup). This is an opt-in feature governed by the respective platform policies. This applies to the mobile Application only.

**Voluntary Feedback**

The Application allows you to submit voluntary in-app feedback. If you choose to do so, environment information and an optional screenshot will be submitted to the Service Provider via email. This data is used solely to troubleshoot issues and improve the Application.

**No Advertising or Tracking**

Neither the Application nor the Website includes third-party analytics SDKs, displays advertisements, tracks you across other apps or sites, or sells or shares your data with third-party data brokers.

**User Rights under GDPR**

As an EU citizen, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access and delete your data. Because the Application stores all data locally on your device, you have full control over your data. You can achieve complete deletion of your data by simply deleting the Application from your device. The Website does not store any personal data, so no deletion action is required for Website use.

**Security**

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Although your data is stored locally, please be aware that no security system can prevent all potential security breaches, especially if your device is compromised.

**Changes**

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this policy at amperrank.com/privacy and within the Application. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
